Job Description
Position Responsibilities:Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Auxiliary Operator will be responsible for the operation and inspection of various systems and equipment as assigned. Normally, their assigned areas will include the boilers and associated systems such as fans, grates, air pollution control equipment, ash systems and water treatment equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Recording data on systems around the Plant.Reporting equipment malfunctions; including identifying trends.Respond to the direction of Control Room/Supervisor to correct operating conditions.Operating the refuse cranes and various pieces of heavy equipment such as forklifts and front end loaders.ualifications:
GED/HS Diploma1-3 years previous experience with high pressure boilers and electric generating equipment or industrial process equipment as found in a refinery or chemical processing facilitiesWater treatment/chemistry experience is a plusHeavy equipment experience is a plus.Physical Demands:
Walk, stand, sit, climb and be able to handle temperature changes including extreme heatBe able to lift/carry 50lbsQualify to wear a full face respirator.Shift Work: : 5 shifts on, 2 shifts off, 2 shifts on, 5 shifts off, rotating 12-hour days/nights.
