You‘ll make an impact by:
You will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, testing, and commissioning of Substation Automation applications and schemes, as well as providing technical support and fault analysis.
General Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain automation systems and associated equipment for power substations.
Configure and test RTUs/PLCs for protection and controls schemes of Medium and High Voltage substations systems.
Develop new application solutions with IEC61850 or other communication protocols relevant in the energy automation field.
Design and/or support elaboration of Control Logic Diagrams, System Network Architecture, Signal Lists, Functional Design Specifications documents during design phase of the project.
Prepare (FAT) Factory Acceptance Test procedures & testing environments for customer projects.
Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, including design, implementation, and commissioning phases.
SCADA & HMI/DCS development for Control system.
Liaising with clients to ensure all requirements are understood and scopes of work are completed to a high standard.
Create IED’s configuration files based on schematics and calculations; and/or Automation software configuration files based on points list, and existing project documentation.
Substation control and monitoring system commissioning including conduction of functional performance, Factory Acceptance test and Site Acceptance test with witness.
Prepares technical reports and documentation of the results that include panel drawings, test protocols, SCADA Point list/Module data Checklist.
Specific Responsibilities:
Technical support, fault analysis, develop new applications for protective relays and or substation automation systems.
Design, development, implementation, testing, and commissioning of protection and control applications and schemes
Travel to job sites, customer offices and vendors factories for commissioning activities.
Your success is grounded in
BS/BE degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Similar with applicable experience.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferably in the automation or protection engineering field.
Knowledge of Siemens Automation software will be preferred.
Knowledge of the multiple vendors' relay products and associated software will be preferred.
Experience with different communication protocols such as IEC61850, DNP, Modbus, IEC103, IEC101, IEC104, Profibus.
Control and Protection commissioning experience.
