　　Whole Foods Market (“WFM”) is hiring a sales cash Auditor to join our Store Support Accounting area. The Sales Cash Audit team is responsible for auditing and posting daily retail sales data to the general ledger, analyzing sales and cash trends, and then making recommendations relative to detecting and resolving discrepancies in retail sales/cash flow.

　　This position is based in Austin TX and will follow a hybrid work environment (3 days in office/2 days from home)

　　The Role:

　　You will audit and post daily retail sales Point of Sale (POS) data to the general ledger.

　　You will analyze sales and cash trends, making recommendations relative to detecting and resolving discrepancies in retail sales/cash flow.

　　You will prepare and verify accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records and account reconciliations.

　　You will assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report sales and cash in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.

　　You will participate in the accounting close process which includes reconciliations, journal entries, and review of balance sheet

　　You will partner with the Banking team to investigate and resolve cash and gift card settlement discrepancies.

　　You will work with Accounts Receivable team with customer account reconciliation, credit card, and manufacture coupons to identify variances.

　　You will identify and understand the accounting flow in the automated tasks to help troubleshoot issues.

　　You will assist operational team members whenever questions arise during their counting procedures and work with them to understand cash variances.

　　You are:

　　Love and thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and is skilled in prioritization, General Accounting practices, Audit (retail, sales transaction) and Risk mitigation.

　　You bring a deep understanding of retail sales flow and cash settlements

　　Strong research and analytical skills and solution oriented.

　　Likes to laugh and loves Auditing details

　　Great adaptability to change

　　Education & Experience:

　　BA/BS degree and 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
