Manage the effective and timely execution of IT internal audit projects.Perform testing of IT general controls, cyber security, data privacy,NIST framework, SDLC, IT operations and governance.Review and ensure adequate completion of audit work papers, documentingaudit tests and findings to effectively support the audit conclusions.Support Audit Department activities as directed by management or ownexperience by developing and maintaining:Dashboards with key metrics from financial and operational data bases withdrill down or linked support that effectively identifies audit risks or areasof focus.Queries that make the audit processes more efficient.Stay current with latest analytic technologies and/or tools used by EOG ITDepartment.Participate in division and headquarters audit work (operations, financialand compliance), including a variety of functional audit areas.Examine assigned activities throughout the company to determine the extent ofcompliance with company policies, plans and procedures.Prepare written reports of audit results and review the results withappropriate management.Make recommendations for the correction of exceptions noted during the auditand follows up on audit recommendations to ensure implementation.Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 testing requirements (internalcontrols over financial reporting), developing recommendations and workingwith external auditors, as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in relevant fields (e.g. Accounting, ManagementInformation Systems, Computer Science) required, with a Master'sdegree a plus.Proficiency with SQL and Spotfire is highly preferred; other analyticapplications proficiency (Python or Power BI) will be considered.Minimum of 6+ years' experience in audit, with IT audit experience oroil & gas preferred.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others at all levelsin the organization.Ability to train department members on analytic technologies as needed.Proficient knowledge of Windows, Excel, and WordExcellent communication skills (written and verbal); highly motivatedself-starter and can work independently.Professional certification holder, or actively pursuing e.g., CPA,CISA, CIA, CISSP, CRISC or Other Audit or IT certification.Approximately up to 10% travel.Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
