  Job Overview

  The Audiology Assistant I supports professional audiology staff withdiagnostic audio logic evaluations, patient equipment, communication withfamilies and outside professionals/organizations, and databasemanagement, while maintaining organization of clinic space, equipment,and supplies in all settings in which audiology services are offered.

  Department Name: North Campus AudiologyJob Status: PRN, as neededShift: Days; hours variable; Saturday coverage needed at North Campus;potential for Monday-Saturday; North region will be primary location withpotential for travel to all NOC sites for coverage

  Qualifications

  EDUCATION - Bachelor's Degree required.EXPERIENCE - Six months relevant experience required.CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR required.This position requires a BLS certification from the American HeartAssociation. If you do not have your BLS, or if it expires within 6months, please click on the following link and enter your zip code to findan appropriate class near you. Please note BLS (CPR cards) fromorganizations other than American Heart Association, even if it says it isAHA approved, will not be accepted.

  Responsibilities

  POPULATION SPECIFIC CARENeonate - 30 days to 1yrToddlers - >1yr to 3yrsPre-Schoolers - >3yrs to 5yrsSchool age - >5yrs to 13yrsAdolescent - >13yrs to 18yrsAdult - >18yrs to 65yrsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  Assists audiologists in two-person behavioral testing.

  Provides newborn hearing screenings to inpatients and outpatients, asrequired. Maintains electronic database for state reporting purposes.

  Provides hearing aid check-in, troubleshooting, verification, anddelivery support. Schedules return of ear molds, hearing aids,accessories, and supplies to families. Performs ear mold fittings on patients.

  Communicates with families and outside professionals/organizations, asrequested, following HIPAA regulations.

  Documents in the electronic medical record, as necessary.

  Maintains the loaner hearing aid sto k and manages database.

  Performs calibrations and listening checks on a regular basis; Loadssoftware and troubleshoots hardware repairs on audiology equipment.
