　　Job Overview

　　The Audiology Assistant I supports professional audiology staff withdiagnostic audio logic evaluations, patient equipment, communication withfamilies and outside professionals/organizations, and databasemanagement, while maintaining organization of clinic space, equipment,and supplies in all settings in which audiology services are offered.

　　Qualifications

　　EDUCATION - Bachelor's Degree required.EXPERIENCE - Six months relevant experience required.CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR required.This position requires a BLS certification from the American HeartAssociation. 　　POPULATION SPECIFIC CARENeonate - 30 days to 1yrToddlers - >1yr to 3yrsPre-Schoolers - >3yrs to 5yrsSchool age - >5yrs to 13yrsAdolescent - >13yrs to 18yrsAdult - >18yrs to 65yrsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

　　Assists audiologists in two-person behavioral testing.

　　Provides newborn hearing screenings to inpatients and outpatients, asrequired. Maintains electronic database for state reporting purposes.

　　Provides hearing aid check-in, troubleshooting, verification, anddelivery support. Schedules return of ear molds, hearing aids,accessories, and supplies to families. Performs ear mold fittings on patients.

　　Communicates with families and outside professionals/organizations, asrequested, following HIPAA regulations.

　　Documents in the electronic medical record, as necessary.

　　Maintains the loaner hearing aid sto k and manages database.

　　Performs calibrations and listening checks on a regular basis; Loadssoftware and troubleshoots hardware repairs on audiology equipment.
