Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Insurance Defense Attorney in Alpharetta, Georgia. The role is primarily remote but may require occasional meetings and conferences at a property and casualty office. The successful candidate will be responsible for trial preparation, drafting, e-filing, legal research, and handling medical chronologies and pre-existing conditions related to insurance defense.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare for trials by conducting extensive legal research and drafting necessary legal documents

• Handle electronic filing (e-Filing) of court documents to ensure compliance with court rules and regulations

• Develop comprehensive medical chronologies to present a clear picture of each case

• Manage pre-existing conditions cases, ensuring all relevant information is gathered and accurately represented

• Use your expertise in Personal Injury Defense to build strong defense strategies

• Collaborate with a remote team of attorneys, providing support and sharing expertise as needed

• Utilize legal software (similar to TimeMatters) for efficient case management

• Handle insurance defense cases, using your strong background in defense to achieve positive outcomes

• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses

• Report to a remote attorney who is based in Florida, maintaining clear and regular communication. Requirements

• Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia

• Proficiency in insurance defense is required

• Experience with chronologies is essential

• Should have experience in personal injury defense

• Knowledge of e-Filing systems is required

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• High level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial

• Must adhere to ethical standards and comply with all professional regulations.
