If you are looking for a meaningful, mission driven career, Join FSA!An Attorney performs, but is not limited to the following duties:Performs complex legal researchPrepares draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law dealing with a variety of federal criminal and civil issues, with a particular focus on civil and criminal health care fraud prosecutions of fraud committed by health care providers against COVID-19 relief programs, as well as civil opioid matters pursed under the False Claims Act and Controlled Substances ActAsist ASUAS in preparing for court hearings, meetings with opposing counsel, depositions, settlement conferences, client meetings, and other events that occur in the U.S. Attorney's Office.Assist AUSAs in litigating cases in federal district and appellate courts covering a broad spectrum of issues including civil and criminal enforcement of federal laws and defense of federal agency actions under a variety of tort, environmental, constitutional and administrative laws.Under the supervision of AUSAs, participate in court hearings, moot courts, and other events that support the litigation work of the U.S. Attorney's Office.Screens documents for privilegeAn Attorney must meet the following qualifications:Minimum education is a JD degree.
