Description

Robert Half is currently in search of an Associate Attorney with a focus on Complex Civil Litigation for our client located in Oakland, CA. The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented individual who can thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Represent clients in complex civil litigation matters.

Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, etc.

Maintain a minimum of 1800 billable hours per year.

Conduct extensive legal research and analysis.

Perform initial case assessments and investigate factual evidence.

Participate in trial proceedings as necessary, including preparation of witnesses.

Collaborate with team members and clients to strategize case approach.

Adhere to all professional and ethical standards as stipulated by the California Bar Association.

Requirements

Requirements:

Qualified candidates must be licensed to practice law in the state of California and have a JD from an ABA accredited university.

Minimum of 2-6 years of experience in complex civil litigation is required. Trial experience highly preferred.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and writing skills.

Strong case management and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of cases.

Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

Proficient in utilizing legal research tools and software.
