VCA Bay Area Animal Hospital (http://www.vcahospitals.com/bay-area/) is seeking a fulltime Associate Veterinarian to join our AAHA-accredited, multi-doctor practice in Oakland, California .

　　VCA takes pride in expanding the growth and skill set of new veterinarians. We welcome newly graduated veterinarians (and current veterinary students) to apply to this position where they will receive individualized support with our 6-month mentorship program and a collaborative hospital team environment.

　　Our ideal candidate will be an experienced veterinarian and/or a recent internship-trained graduate. However, confident new graduates will be considered and we offer an extensive mentoring program. A willingness to see and treat rabbits is important (mentorship available if needed), as they are a large percentage of the daily case load.

　　This is a busy practice with a heavy walk-in caseload known for both wellness and urgent care. This provides a great opportunity to see numerous emergent cases, as well as a great assortment of general practice cases. Our beautiful, state-of-the-art facility is well-equipped and welcoming. To provide excellent care we have full in-house labs (including CBC, chemistries, i-stat, and a variety of SNAP tests), ultrasound, digital radiography, and oxygen cage. Digital dental radiographs are offered for every patient undergoing dental prophylaxis, and VCA’s CareClub provides a cost-effective solution to developing a strong preventative care relationship. Our well-trained and compassionate staff, including several tenured RVT’s, as well as the VCA management team, are here to support you in providing the very best options for your clients.

　　Our doctors work 4 days/week on varied schedules. We are open 7 days a week from 8am until 9pm during the week and 8am until 7pm on the weekends.
