  Job Description

  Position OverviewAs Associate, Origination you will be responsible for originating newbusiness in the WECC Region by developing new and existing customerrelationships, communicating Invenergy's story and key attributes ofpotential product offerings, and proposing and structuring clean energypower transactions for the company's wind, solar, energy storage andthermal resource portfolio. The role would be an ideal growth opportunity foran ambitious self-starter looking to build on existing experience in theenergy industry to help fuel the growth of one of the most dynamic andentrepreneurial companies in the industry.

  Responsibilities

  Initiate and identify new origination prospects and implement an outreachstrategy for all products and technologies under development, with a focuson executing Power Purchase Agreements, Build Transfer Agreements, andDevelopment Transfer AgreementsCoordinate with development, finance, engineering and other departments todevelop solutions for customers, including assisting in the development ofproposals and pricing for opportunitiesOriginate and assist with structuring and closing large wholesale powertransactions in coordination with Commercial Transactions teamDevelop and implement customer and market strategiesDevelop and maintain strong customer and business relationshipsPrepare and deliver internal and external presentations, webinars, etc.Advance junior members of the origination teamMaintain CRM software with latest status on outreach efforts

  Required Skills

  Applicants should possess at least 3 - 5+ years of experience in the powersector.A BS or BA from an accredited college programEligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visasponsorship now or in the future

  Preferred Skills

  Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance or a similar fieldis preferredKnowledge of the electric utility industry and electric energy markets.Working knowledge of RTO operations, electric transmission and powergeneration and storage technologiesA solid track record of success in a development or sales capacity in theclean energy sectorStrong sales, networking, leadership, negotiation and time management skillsOutstanding problem solving, strategic thinking, verbal and writtencommunication skillsAbility to work independently and as a team memberAbility to make decisions with limited information and in light of ambiguityDemonstrated ability to perform under significant time and pressure conditionsAbility to travel up to 20% of the time

  Salary Range

  $78,000 - $92,000
