Job Description
Position Overview
As an Associate, Reliability Compliance you will support Invenergy'sReliability Compliance program for the entire Invenergy fleet with anemphasis on electricity generation regulatory requirements (NERC IESO)associated with cyber security and real time operations. Based out ofour downtown Chicago office, the Associate, Regulatory Compliance willuse their utility expertise, technical writing, and critical thinking tocomplete the job responsibilities with limited managerial oversight.
Responsibilities
Actively participate in real time operational compliance monitoringactivities supporting thermal and renewable technologiesSynthesize technical information with the applicable regulatory ruleand compose compliance performance narrativesConduct ad hoc independent research on industry trends and rulesSupport the updating and maintenance of program proceduresPartner with internal groups (Engineering, Operations, and AssetManagement) to communicate changes or updates that require action bythe projects.Support the implementation and monitoring of internal controlsSupport the maintenance of the evidence repositoryPerform other job related duties as assignedRequired Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, InformationTechnology, Computer Science, or related discipline with anengineering/power system focus and/or equivalent industry experience3+ years of relevant compliance experienceAbility to gain a comprehensive understanding of power generationoperationsDemonstrated project management skillsCritical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solvecomplex problems with limited managerial oversightStrong interpersonal skills with the desire to work in a fast-paced,entrepreneurial environment and to meet deadlinesAbility to use discretion in handling confidential informationExcellent organizational, presentation/facilitation, verbal, andwritten communication skillsNimble and collaborative work ethicProficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, includingSharePoint, and Adobe AcrobatWillingness to travel between 5-10%Preferred Skills
Prior knowledge of applicable NERC, ERCOT, IESO standards.Knowledge of utility scale and/or renewable power systems.Benefits
