What you’ll do:

　　Eaton is a diversified power management company providing energy-efficient solutions that help our customers effectively manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power. The company is a global technology leader in aerospace fuel, hydraulic, electric and actuation systems for commercial and military use; and truck and automotive drivetrain and powertrain systems for performance, fuel economy and safety; electrical products, systems and services for power quality, distribution, control, and transmission. Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for a Specialist MBSE - Engineering Functional Excellence, Digital Engineering. This position will be based in Pune, India.

　　The position will be responsible for leading systems engineering activities, including systems requirements, system architecture/ design and system integration of Aerospace / Automotive / Electrical Systems, with specific focus on MBSE. The individual will be responsible for formalized application of modeling to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities beginning in the conceptual design phase and continuing throughout development and later life cycle phases. Activities would span systems engineering, modelling and validation activities for new product development including, analyzing requirements and assessing compliance, defining interfaces, flow down of system requirements to subsystems & components, system integration and system verification/ validation, around Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) centric methodologies, processes and practices. The position would need to evangelize adoption of MBSE across the engineering teams, and provide hands-on mentoring, training, and guidance on MBSE.

　　Key Responsibilities

　　• Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Practitioner in Systems Engineering, with handson SE experience pertaining to multi-disciplinary systems, including in regulated safety-critical industries like aerospace and automotive

　　• Subject matter expert (SME) and Practitioner on MBSE with deep hands-on experience on MBSE toolchain including SysML modeling tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, Capella and Enterprise Architect

　　• Hands on experience on requirement management, including usage of tools for requirements management such as DOORS and JAMA

　　• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture, analyze and validate system requirements spanning various engineering domains

　　Qualifications:

　　Post Graduate / PhD in mechanical engineering / electronics engineering.

　　Overall min 15+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering

　　5+ years of demonstrated experience on MBSE/SysML/UML methodologies.

　　Skills:

　　Expertise in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)

　　Requirement development including product flow-down and traceability, Proficiency in requirements compliance cycle

　　Expertise System architecture, control system design and analysis

　　Expertise System integration, verification, validation

　　Certification compliance to RTCA/DO-160, DO178, ARP4754. ARP4761 standards.

　　Expertise with System V-Cycle and systems processes defined ISO/IEC15288

　　Proven track record of complex problem solving

　　Proven track record in Project Engineering or Program Management Leadership

　　Product and system engineering proficiency aligned with Electro-hydro-mechanical , controller, software components interface with controls and software

　　DFSS BB, MBB

　　INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
