The Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital is seeking a Groundskeeper II with a 2B Hoisting License. The Groundskeeper II trims, prunes, cuts and/or plants flowers, bushes, etc. In addition, seeds, waters, cuts, weeds, fertilizes lawns, flower beds, shrubs, etc. Spray lawns, flower beds, etc. with fertilizers; excavates grounds: minor repairs to roadways, parking lots, and walkways. Performs related work as required. Please note: This is a full-time, 40 hour position. The schedule is 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The days off are Saturday and Sunday. _Duties and Responsibilities (these are a general summary and not all-inclusive):_ * Trims, prunes and/or plants flowers, shrubs etc. * Seeds, water, weeds and/or fertilizes lawns, flower beds, shrubs etc. * Assists in designing floral beds, planning plan placement for grounds beatification. * Mows lawns, using hand or power equipment. * Makes minor repairs of sidewalks, roadways and parking lots and clear them of snow. * Performs related duties such as emptying rubbish barrels, picking up trash, cleaning ditches, drains, catch basins on grounds or roadways; shoveling snow raking leaves. Possess a current and valid pesticide applicator's certificate issued by the Pesticide Bureau, Department of Food and Agriculture _About Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WHRC):_ Located on over 100 acres in Worcester, Massachusetts, Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WRCH) is part of an integrated network of effective, efficient and culturally competent mental health services. It provides intermediate and long-term inpatient care for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness who live in Massachusetts, as well as individuals requiring specialized court ordered evaluations.
