The Associate Manager, Brand Activation will play an integral role on the Commercial Business Segment Omni-Marketing & Brand Activation team, supporting Rubbermaid Commercial Products and Rubbermaid brands. The Associate Manager, Brand Activation will work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to successfully develop and execute activation plans for new product launches and other strategic business initiatives.
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Brand Activation
· Supports development of brand strategy and provides inputs into A&P budget build each year for product categories that they support.
· Responsible for developing annual category commercialization plans, at an exceptional level of quality, to support brand strategy initiatives.
· Executes against category commercialization plans by creating new assets, which may include photography, video, collateral, enhanced content, etc.
· Provides creative direction for communication platforms and materials to support category commercialization and brand plans.
· Uses available formal research and executes desktop research to develop and optimize brand plans.
· Aids in tracking, measuring, and optimizing commercialization plans, as needed.
· Supports updating brand catalogs on annual basis, incorporating new innovation and removing obsoleted SKUs.
· Supports Brand Activation Manager and other Brand Activation team deliverables.
Brand Stewardship
· Demonstrates thorough understanding of brand pyramid and style guidelines and executes on brand strategy in accordance with them.
· Articulates target consumer, chooser, and user for Commercial Business Segment brands and product categories.
· Suggests modifications and supports brand style guideline updates annually.
· Ensures messaging, marketing communications, and market adaptations are on-brand and consistent with brand strategy.
New Product Launch and Category Support
· Writes formal commercialization plans for new product launches and core category business initiatives that detail needs to support growth.
· Executes commercialization plans according to budget and leads development of marketing assets, including photo/video, collateral, enhanced content, etc.
· Actively contributes to innovation plans once project is committed and executes tactics on time and in full.
· Supports multiple product categories across Commercial Business Segment, balancing the needs and timeline demands for each category.
Trade Show Support
· Leads trade show strategy with support from manager.
· Writes formal trade show brief and partners with Brand Management team to determine collection of products that will be displayed and demonstrated in the booth.
· Leads booth layout and development of all graphic assets in collaboration with Marketing Operations and Communication Design teams.
· Supports setup and tear down of trade show booth, ensuring that booth presence adheres to brand style guidelines.
· Works trade show booth, presenting products to customers and end-users.
Project and Process Management
· Serves as key liaison between Brand Management, Omni-Marketing, and Communication Design teams.
· Leads weekly commercialization meetings with cross-functional partners, using time to align on strategy and execution.
· Develops commercialization timelines to support new product launches to deliver assets on time and in full.
· Oversees project timelines, deliverables, and approval process.
· Measures and analyzes ROI of marketing programs and recommends future improvements.
Financial Management
· Demonstrates basic P&L knowledge, including net sales, gross margin, etc.
· Helps build annual A&P budget and actively manages budget for respective product category responsibilities.
· Executes commercialization activities according to approved budget and delivers marketing assets on-cost and on-budget.
· Familiar with ROI analysis and tracks projects’ key performance indicators, accordingly.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
· Four-year College/University degree
· Relevant experience: 18 months – 4 years of relevant marketing experience is required; consumer packaged goods or B2B experience is preferred.
· Time & Project Management: Solid organization and time management skills with proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, ultimately delivering on time and in full.
· Creative & Self-Motivated: Demonstrated ability to plan thoughtfully and execute quickly.
· Team Player: Highly collaborative with demonstrated experience working with and leading cross-functional teams on various projects.
· Strong Communicator: Strong written and oral communication skills and experience crafting unique messages and presentations specific to target audiences.
· Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint as well as project management software tools, with a preference for Workfront experience.
· Fluent in English (verbal and written)
· Up to 15% travel may be required.
