Job Details South Bay Cardiovascular Associates of is currently looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our nationally ranked team of cardiac care professionals. Responsibilities will include: The Advanced Practice Provider will assist collaborating physicians in providing assessments, diagnosis, care and treatment of patients in an outpatient cardiology practice setting Appropriate ordering of tests and medications Receiving, interpreting, and communicating internal and external testing results Coordinating admissions and/or transfers to other facilities Consult and coordinate with multidisciplinary team in formulating an appropriate patient plan of care Requirements: Cardiology and electrophysiology experience Must be able to work Saturday rotations as needed Proficiency in 12 Lead EKG testing Nuclear Stress Testing &/or Stress Testing experience Bachelor of Science, Masters preferred in an AMA approved PA or NP program NYS Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License PA or NP Board Certification BLS and ACLS certification Experience PA – Will consider new grad with relevant PA electives or clinical background NP – Will consider new grad with Acute Nurse Practitioner certification (ACNP) Certification: Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification (ACNP) BLS/ACLS/AED training required and accepted from only 2 organizations: American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program and American Red Cross.
