What´s the role?
As the Litigation & Claims In-house Counsel, you will oversee and manage all aspects of litigation, arbitration, and other legal disputes, including developing litigation strategy, coordinating responses to discovery requests and, where necessary, representing Liberty in legal proceedings in Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands. You will also manage all aspects of extrajudicial and administrative claims filed by consumers in Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands and appear before court or administrative forums on behalf of the Company. This role performs job duties consistent within safety, legal, and regulatory requirements as well as Company values, standards, culture, and business practices. In-house Counsel will acts with the highest level of integrity and business and personal ethical standards in all aspects of job performance.

Oversee and manage all aspects of litigation, arbitration, and other legal disputes, including developing litigation strategy, coordinating responses to discovery requests and, where necessary, representing Liberty in legal proceedings in Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands
Provide advice on labor and employment matters.
Collaborate and prepare legal risks assessments on LCPR’s and LLA’s strategic initiatives.
Effectively manage informal and formal administrative claims, attorney demands and litigation on behalf of the Company in an array of commercial, employment, consumer, and other matters.
Coordinate with commercial and management teams in pre-litigation commercial disputes to identify claims and defenses.
Ensure acurrate and timely documentation for the Company's defense.
Manage outside attorneys and insurance companies for strategic and economic resolution of litigation matters.
Administer oaths, take affidavits, declarations, or depositions from witnesses, acknowledge, and attest signatures, and certify copies, and other notary public duties and responsibilities.
Appear before court or administrative forums on behalf of the company regarding subpoena proceedings, compliance with orders to show cause and/or other hearings.
Demonstrate and ensure compliance with Liberty Latin America Privacy Policy, the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin America policies, and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.
Other functions may be assigned.
What do you need?
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and be admted to the practice of law within the Commonwealth of Puerto Rican and, preferably, the United States Federal Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
3-6 years of experience in the legal field.

Strong ability and inclination to collaborate with others.
Strong organization and leadership skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
Capable of working in a fast-paced dynamic work environment with efficient prioritization, client interaction, responsiveness, and focus (especially during periods of sustained pressure and often under tight deadlines).
Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with team members, including staff, external partners, and suppliers.
Breadth and depth of technical legal knowledge, excellent business judgment and strong analytical skills.
High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information.
Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response.
