Kilpatrick is seeking a Counsel to join the office of the General Counsel toreside in any of our offices: Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas,Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Raleigh, San Francisco,Seattle, San Diego, Walnut Creek, Washington DC, or Winston-Salem. Theideal candidate will have an active law license in good standing in the statewhere practicing with at least 5 years of experience practicing in a law firmor in-house legal department and preferably with patent attorney experience.The Associate General Counsel - Conflicts is responsible for generalapplication of duties that involve advising key stakeholders including seniormanagement and other internal clients on firm issues related to ethics andconflicts analysis and resolution regarding potential new business intake andnew and lateral attorney hires as part of the Office of the General Counsel.The Associate General Counsel - Conflicts is responsible for identifying andfacilitating the avoidance and resolution of conflicts and ethical issues thatmay arise through the intake of new clients or new matters or the hiring ofnew or lateral attorneys. This includes developing related policies andprocedures to ensure timely resolution of conflicts and ethical issues throughincreased awareness of risk management, communicating well verbally and inwriting with key stakeholders inside the firm as well as potential candidatesand strategic partners outside the firm, and ensuring conflicts analyses andbusiness intake considerations are managed efficiently to meetinternal/external timelines.
