ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join the NZ Commercial team. The role will focus on partnering with our Television Broadcaster Clients and deliver market-leading client service support for linear TV and streaming measurement. You will also be driving new business opportunities among our existing and new clients. If you are a consultative thinker, you look at things strategically, and you thrive on building external and internal relationships, this is the position for you.
ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES
Effectively manage and build client relationships, including the execution of account plans across our broadcaster clientsSupport clients in understanding viewing drivers and trends to support individual programming strategies, growing the TV market as a whole, and how best to monetise these strategies.Uncover new business opportunities within your client portfolio and work cross-collaboratively within the Nielsen divisionsLeverage a growth mindset to evolve, adapt, and thrive in the face of challengesManage good working relationships with internal teams such as product and operations leaders and customer success teamsExperience in communicating insights and results to others - translating analysis information into a cohesive and compelling explanation that fully briefs the audience on the issue at hand and any subsequent actions that need to be takenConfident, presenting to clients and showcasing your work internally and externallyDemonstrated experience identifying projects of interest and importance for clients and then developing these concepts into tangible research proposals that are seen through to completionAn understanding of Statistics principles is essentialGood knowledge of Data Science principles is highly desirableAbility to understand complex technical informationHighly developed and systematic organisational skills. Previous experience in managing and delivering simultaneous multiple projects is highly desirable
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
5 years experience in the media industry, ideally across either media agencies, TV broadcasters, or other media ownersAble to analyse and integrate various data sources with market and industry knowledgeStrong communication skills with a poise and confidence to interact both internally and externallyA strong understanding of Nielsen Media products and solutionsBuilds strong, trust-based client relationshipsSeeks opportunities and supports company initiatives to grow revenue Ability to work across different products and balance the needs of different stakeholdersGeneral understanding and use of Nielsen products and services and/or general market research techniques would be an advantageStrong skills across MS Office and Google Suite a plusA bachelor degree or higher in marketing, business, media, communications, or similar is preferable but not essential
