UBS Asset Management (Americas) Inc. (USA) in New York, NY seeks an Associate Director, Associate Portfolio Manager - Investment Solutions to Provide support to two books of business: systematic / quant oriented multi-asset portfolios (including Pension Risk Management) and global multi-asset portfolios. Contribute to the day to day management and monitoring of the portfolios, updating and building portfolio monitoring tools (and other performance-related aspects of portfolios) and determining the processes to be used to construct these portfolios, within associated guidelines and restrictions. Assist in the construction and implementation of valuation methodologies and quantitative models that support the investment process. Perform investment controlling, performance, and risk monitoring of the portfolios. Provide investment advisory services to External Parties and Clients, as required, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert. Conduct knowledge share transfers with the Portfolio Manager team.This position requires a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics and Finance, or a related field of study plus at least two (2) years of experience in the job offered or at least two (2) years of experience in an Investment Data Scientist, Technical Business Analyst, Data Engineer, Quantitative Analyst, or related occupation. Requires experience with: strong working knowledge of all investment types, including equity, fixed income, multi-asset products, and derivative instruments; Python and Matlab; Excel VBA; database management software such as SQL; Strong quantitative skills with solid understanding of statistics and probability (e.g. panel data analysis, time-series analysis, machine-learning); Strong knowledge of at least one market data service provider API, such as Factset or Bloomberg or Refinitiv Eikon/Datastream.
