　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　The Associate Controller is responsible for performing many of the day-to-day activities of the Accounting Department.

　　*What you will do in this position: *

　　You will direct month-end closing activities.

　　You will perform general ledger entries and review journal entries.

　　You will prepare and review month-end account reconciliations.

　　You will be responsible for audits of the accounting department.

　　You will handle monthly reconciliation and tracking of capital assets and requisitions along with weekly/monthly Trauma reviews.

　　You will ensure year-end tax work papers are completed correctly and timely.

　　You will ensure Internal Controls are completed semi-annually, accurately and timely.

　　You will handle the annual JAR completion.

　　You will ensure the annual Medicare Cost Report Work Papers are completed accurately and timely.

　　You will oversee members of the accounting staff.

　　You will perform special projects as directed by the CFO, VP of Finance and Controller.

　　What qualifications you will need:

　　Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA or CPA certification preferred

　　At least 4 years of experience in Accounting

　　Previous experience in a senior level accounting position preferred

　　Medicare and third party payer knowledge preferred

　　Prior HCA knowledge preferred
