  We are seeking to recruit an ambitious and dynamic Associate Civil Designer to be seated in the Jacobs Singapore Office . You’ll provide professional expertise as part of an enthusiastic CAD Designers team. You will undertake and manage the day-to-day operations and be capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to approximately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required.

  In addition, the selected individual will undertake the delivery of drawing packages within specified deadlines and as part of a multidisciplinary project. You will prepare and effectively present technical and comprehensive reports verbally and in writing and understand the scope and limits of responsibility between various engineering disciplines and project support groups. As we always work in a team and team collaboration is indeed vital in various projects. It enhances communication skills, shared experiences while developing professional growth and skills. You will be working closely with Senior Engineers and other CAD designers to provide a design solution. You will assist in the development of other juniors in the team.

  Your key responsibilities are as follows:

  Be involved in the preparation and production of Civil/structural drawings in AutoCAD / MicroStation /BIM format.

  Do submission of drawings to Local Authorities and adhere to internal CAD processes and procedures.

  Maintain High Quality drawings production and deliverables, coordinate CAD process and systems and interface with other disciplines and design centers while working and coordinating with Senior Engineers and Managers

  You will be driving the quality and timeliness of the service we provide and will use your knowledge and skills to deliver the right quality to time and budget.

  Operate in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environment and quality standards.

  Have comprehensive knowledge of industry standards.

  Proficient in use of standard Office Software

  Here's What You'll Need:

  Our engineers work with passion to deliver the most reliable, cost-effective and made-to measures solutions allowing end users to move seamlessly. You will work with other team members and other teams to ensure compliance with CAD standards and quality requirements, taking necessary corrective action.

  Diploma/BE-Civil/ Mechanical Engineering

  Proficient with ProjectWise, Autodesk Suite (Revit), and Bentley Suite(OpenBuilding Designer).

  Good local project experience and familiar with local submission requirements

  Strong drafting experience in civil infrastructure projects

  Experience of procedures and standards that apply to CAD and able to give some guidance to others.

  Knowledge of civil engineering design principles and standards.

  Knowledge of construction principles and standards.

  Knowledge of the importance of planning, delivery and timescales.

  Good command of written and spoken English.

  Flexibility in working hours will be required to meet the demands of the role.
