Description

Growing law firm based in Redwood City, CA has an immediate opening for an Associate Attorney! This Associate Attorney will join the litigation group, focusing on bad faith and insurance coverage matters. As an Associate Attorney, you will be tasked with various litigation duties, including research, discovery, and trial preparation. If you're looking to grow your career with a flexible firm and in a unique area of the law, this is the position for you! This position can be remote or hybrid, depending on the employee preference. The ideal candidate will have 2-10+ years of civil litigation experience in an attorney capacity and hold an active CA Bar license.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support cases

• Manage all aspects of the discovery process, including the collection, analysis, and presentation of evidence

• Drafting pleadings, legal briefs, and other necessary documents

• Utilize LexisNexis and other legal research tools to gather and analyze case law

• Engage in civil litigation, arbitration, and deposition proceedings

• Draft pleadings and legal briefs in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner

• Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, coordinating witnesses, and managing all pre-trial details

• Utilize expertise in insurance coverage to provide legal advice and guidance

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions and communications.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Must hold a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Must be admitted to practice law California

• Minimum of two years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on civil litigation.

• Knowledge of insurance coverage laws and regulations is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
