  Technical Asset Operations (TAO) team aims to develop central, competitive capabilities delivering end-to-end value through the AMS work processes as an integral part of our Downstream Manufacturing (DS-M), Integrated Gas & New Energies (IGNE) and Upstream (UP) asset teams. We support the business worldwide and often do so together with the deep capability of our Project & Technology (P&T), Information Technology (IT) and Finance & Data Operations (FO-Data) partners. You are going to play a vital role in the delivery of continued efficiency and effectiveness improvement by bringing cross-business learning on key processes.

  What is the role

  The Associate Engineer - DataDoc Mgmt-2 is expected to perform data control and management of technical data, procedures, and engineering drawings through functional mailbox management, metadata management, and high-level quality checks. The role will be responsible in the maintenance, assurance, technical support, and standardization of Shell’s Upstream, IG and Downstream assets technical data, and the document management of an asset’s technical drawings, vendor/OEM correspondences, procedures, and other engineering drawings.

  What we need from you

  Develop and manage engineering information reports, analysis processes and key data sets.

  Manage data migration, analysis and reporting in support of integration and visualization initiatives such as Digital Twin and Unified Engineering

  Deliver ad-hoc engineering information analysis and management.

  Provide support and expertise in the delivery, capture and use of engineering information through its lifecycle across relevant tools.

  Deliver engineering information training and support to ensure good practice across the wider team.

  Contribute to the engineering information strategic and governance plans and support the delivery and execution of work in line with these plans.

  Facilitate and promote the use of engineering information and available technology to appropriate areas stakeholders across the engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.

  Contribute and develop information and data opportunities to enable value exploitation.

  Execute and manage data lifecycle processes ensuring data quality in line with Manage Information and Data Systems (MIDS) use cases.

  Engagement with supporting engineering and information management specialist 3rd parties that are involved in Brownfield’s projects, systems administration, and data quality scopes.

  Support transactional engineering information management activities (Engineering Data Warehouse management, tag, and data requests etc.)

  Key Experiences and Qualifications:

  Preferably 2 years of industry experience as Data and Document Controller with knowledge of data control processes and systems on Major Capital Projects/Assets, and of EPC interface management.

  Knowledge of cross-discipline engineering data (requirements and use) including business data model of engineering, spare parts processes, Maintenance Management System build processes.

  Knowledge of SharePoint and document management systems.

  Experience of working with Engineering Data Warehouse (EDW) systems (or similar) e.g. Bentley, AVEVA, SPF.

  Experience working with document management systems (EDMS). Experience in ASSAI preferred.

  Preferably knowledge of Engineering IM Scope of Work and Information Specification in a major contract, CFIHOS/DEP, Engineering Information Specification (EIS) and the related document

  Project Data Control and relevant processes, familiar with data-modeling methodology

  Experience of working with Engineering Data Warehouse (EDW) systems, preferably Aveva.

  Previous experience of working in an Asset O&M team is desirable.

  Previous experience of OR&A activities including CMMS build and of managing as-built data and documents is desirable.

  Engineering IM Scope of Work and Information Specification in a major contract, DEP Engineering Information Specification (EIS) and the related documents.

  Experience in Engineering Projects as part of project controls team is an advantage.
