SummaryThe Assistant Shipping and Returns Processing Clerk's primary responsibility is to prepare outbound shipments (pull, pack and ship) and to prepare and meter outbound shipments. They would also process returns and receive, store and distribute material and products within the facility, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Pull, pack and ship outbound orders.Perform shipping and receiving activities while ensuring quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.Pull, pack, meter and ship outbound orders.Sorting and packaging boxes to appropriate lanes for Fed-Ex, UPS and USPS.Load and unload freight, to include Flag and Puzzle shipments.Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.Must be able to be cross trained across all facets of fulfillment.Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.Operates carts or hand trucks to convey, move materials to proper departments or areas.Performs all computer functions necessary.Other duties as assigned by Department Manager or Department Lead.Qualifications:
Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related fields.Good computer skills utilizing Microsoft programs and parcel shipping software.Ability to handle physical workloadAbility to multitask and prioritizeAbility to thrive in fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skillsEducation and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years' experience in a warehouse/shipping environment.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as pick tickets, packing slips, safety rules and procedure manuals both oral and written. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals by hand or using a calculator.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have good typing and computer skills including a strong proficiency of Microsoft Office software and parcel shipping software (FedEx). Prior Experience w/shipping software preferred.
