  PostedDecember 01, 2022The Department of Theater in the College of Arts and Sciences at Case Western Reserve University is accepting applications for an Assistant Professorof Movement and Acting (tenure-track) beginning in the 2023-2024 academic year.The successful candidate will be the primary movement specialist for the Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program, and will also teach at the undergraduate level based on their areas of expertise.Other duties include production movement coaching; advising; university, college, and department service; and the possibility of directing depending on experience. The normal teaching load is three and two on the semester system.QualificationsCandidates must demonstrate a pedagogical and professional profile. A completed Master of Fine Arts degree, advanced professional training and experience, and a minimum of 3 years of successful teaching at the graduate level are required. Candidates should have experience teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. A successful candidate will be versed in a variety of styles/genres, with theability to teach a sequential professional four-semester movement curriculum to MFA students.Application InstructionsTo apply, send letter of interest and curriculum vitae, and have three current letters of recommendation sent independently by the authors.
