Posting Summary | The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, seeks a full-time tenure-track faculty member at the assistant or associate professor level with a specialty in health administration. While topical areas are open, and candidates with a broad perspective are encouraged to apply, we would welcome scholars in the areas of health services and policy research, delivery system reform and payment policy, health information technology and management, and the healthcare workforce. Prior work experience is a plus. The faculty member will teach primarily in the CAHME-accredited Masters of Health Administration (MHA) program; other instructional duties will include the undergraduate health administration program and may include related graduate and undergraduate programs in the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy as dictated by competency and interest. In addition to its undergraduate major and minors in health administration and medical ethics & health policy and its CAHME-accredited MHA, the program is developing a doctorate of health administration (DHA) that it hopes to launch in the near future. The Rutgers MHA program was recently ranked #1 in New Jersey by U.S. News & World Report. |

Overview | The Bloustein School brings together an amalgam of urban planning, public policy, health administration, public health, and urban informatics in a unique environment ideally suited to address the needs of the region's communities and diverse populations. The School has eight research centers and institutes-including the Center for State Health Policy-and annually attracts approximately $25 million in external grants and contracts. The programs in urban planning, public policy, and undergraduate public health are all highly ranked nationally, and our health administration program which was created in 2017 recently debuted in the national rankings at #32. The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is a professional school offering a doctoral program in Planning and Public Policy; master's degrees in Health Administration, Public Policy, Urban Planning and Policy Development, and Public Informatics; undergraduate degrees in Public Policy, Planning and Public Policy, Urban Planning and Design, Health Administration, and Public Health. Immunization Requirements Under Policy 60.1.35 , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
