Job Summary Wine.com is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to partner with the GM in full ownership and the successful execution of the daily, monthly, quarterly and annual operating plan of our Westbury, NY fulfilment center that has both inbound and outbound activities. The AGM will also provide exemplary people and process leadership skills to uphold Wine.com’s culture and values. Responsibilities •Ensure a safe working environment for all employees in high activity warehouse environment. •Oversee the fulfilment floor and provide direction and leadership to the Ops managers, Leads and Associates by identifying training and development opportunities. •Execute company processes successfully to ensure 100% SOP compliance and ensure annual performance goals are met or exceeded. •Supervise and participate in all logistic center functions including purchasing, receiving, inventory management, order picking, packing and shipping. •Support the GM in structuring, contributing to and leading employee meetings on topics such as daily scrums, safety, training, quality etc. •Foster a work environment that maximizes employee involvement, morale, and engagement. •Ensure quality standards are achieved for all goods received, inventoried, packed and shipped. •Troubleshoot any obstacles in operational procedures and research inventory discrepancies utilizing shipping documents and ERP programs. •Be a champion of continuous improvement, change and contribute to the strategic direction of facility initiatives. Other projects or duties as assigned Qualifications •College degree in business, finance, or supply-chain related discipline •3-4 years of management in supply chain or related field. •Strong but empathetic people leader who prioritizes building a strong, high performing team. •Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build successful internal and external partnerships. •Ability to creatively solve problems in a fast-paced environment •Capacity to prioritize and multi-task to ensure deadlines are met, with a focus on results. •Ability to interact effectively at all levels •Demonstrated ability to anticipate business needs, think proactively and respond appropriately •Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
