  Overview

  The School of Professional Studies is seeking and Assist Director, Admissions to manage graduate admissions and recruitment efforts including the application process and on and off-campus recruitment. The person in this role is expected to nurture relationships with key University offices on admissions matters, and develop and nurture relationships with external organizations with the intent of expanding NYU SPS recognition. In addition, the incumbent will assist in the development and design of new admissions communications. The Assistant Director will collaborate with SPS Admissions leadership to yield students at all stages of the enrollment funnel with the added intention of increasing diversity in degree programs. Initiate and manage relationships with key organizations that will create diversity pipelines. Participate in training and professional development that will strengthen knowledge base around graduate recruitment.

  Responsibilities

  Required Education:

  Bachelor's Degree

  Preferred Education:

  Master's Degree

  Required Experience:

  5+ years Experience in enrollment management, event management, student services, marketing, customer service, or related industry admissions including counseling and staff supervision or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  Preferred Experience:

  5+ years Demonstrated knowledge of diversity recruitment strategies.

  Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with word processing, database, and spreadsheet supervisory experience. Keen attention to detail. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to collaborate and interact effectively with a wide range of constituents. An understanding of data management and report generation. Knowledge of current technology and trends used in marketing and application processing. Must have a valid driver's license and passport.

  Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data in NYU reporting systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards

  Qualifications

  In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $65,000.00 to USD $85,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
