  The Carle Illinois College of Medicine seeks applicants for an AssistantDean for Accreditation to provide leadership and oversight for allaccreditation and continuous quality improvement activities across thecollege. The Assistant Dean for Accreditation will also collaborate withsenior leadership to ensure compliance and excellence in the medicaleducation program. This position reports to the Executive Vice Dean.

  Major Duties and Responsibilities

  Strategic Leadership

  Provide leadership and oversight of all accreditation activities for theCarle Illinois College of Medicine. Work closely with the dean and thesenior leadership team and other stakeholders to ensure clearcommunication of and preparation for accreditation requirements andrelated objectives.

  Develop and implement vision, goals, strategic plans, and activities toensure success in all initial and ongoing accreditation activities.These include but are not limited to accreditations with the LiaisonCommittee on Medical Education (LCME) and the Higher Learning Commission(HLC).

  Assist in strategic planning activities of the college as they relate toassessment and accreditation. Participate in ongoing programmatic andcurricular assessment as defined by the dean, executive vice dean, andin collaboration with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.

  Executive Administrative Leadership

  Develop and implement assessment and accreditation policies andprocedures including a clearly defined strategic plan to ensure that keymilestones and deliverables are met, while ensuring the higheststandards of accuracy, timeliness, and quality.

  Develop processes and procedures to manage and access data foraccreditation bodies that cover the curriculum, programs, and servicesfor students, faculty, and administration. Apply assessment data tocontinuously improve educational outcomes, and programmatic structuresand processes.

  Develop, manage, and maintain all assessment and accreditation datasystems and interfaces. Create and maintain a repository ofdocumentation in support of accreditation activities includingassessment data, reports, standard documents, and project plans.

  Synthesize and disseminate accreditation and assessment materials toleadership, stakeholders, and constituents to ensure continuous andtransparent exchange of information.

  Generate internal and external reports, executive summaries and respondto inquiries, surveys and data collection requests pertaining toassessment and accreditation.

  Align assessment work with required university, hospital, andaccreditation standards to assure quality and support continuousimprovement.

  Organize and lead continuous quality improvement initiative teamsrelated to accreditation metrics and elements.

  Other

  Support the educational mission of the college, maintaining appropriateconfidentiality of information and materials, and in accordance with allapplicable policies, procedures and regulations.

  Establish and maintain effective working relationships; workcooperatively and collegially with others in a manner consistent with aworkplace of dignity and respect.

  Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion and champion positiveinter-professional relationships bridging the college\'s private/publicorganization and missions.

  Collaborate with units across the College to combine and synergizestrengths that foster an environment of collaboration and inclusion asw ll as administrative transparency.

  Help support the development of faculty in educational scholarship andresearch, which could include research design, selection of methodology,survey/instrument development, qualitative methods, analysis planning,assisting with interpretation of results/findings, and writingevaluation plans for grants.

  Attend internal and external meetings related to program evaluation, IT,student assessment, and medical education innovation that are pertinentto the Carle Illinois College of Medicine; participate in personalprofessional development related to the topics of student assessment andcontinuous improvement to keep abreast of advances in the field andupdates to expectations and requirements for outcomes measurement andevaluation of educational programs.

  Participate in appropriate national organizations to keep abreast of newconcepts to provide optimal and continually updated technologies andservice to the Carle Illinois College of Medicine\'s needs.

  May supervise academic and/or civil service direct reports.
