What You’ll Do:
The Financial Accountant will manage the general accounting function in order to ensure accuracy and control and the smooth operation of the day-to-day functions of the General Accounting team in a fast-paced changing environment in support of country Accounting Manager and Business Partner requirements.
To assist & support the month end close schedule in line with previously set deadlines and to ensure the financial results are correctly and accurately reported,
To maintain financial records in accordance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practices),
To enter journals into the Oracle financial system in line with accounting policy (journal entry requirements),
To prepare documentation to support the financial statements audit both internally and externally in line with accounting policy AP1-02 (Balance sheet, statement of income and supporting documentation),
To assist in the preparation for the finalisation of the corporation tax accounts by ensuring that all information required to support the corporation tax return is gathered and documented within the set deadlines,
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations in the official company format ensuring that any reconciling items/errors are identified and resolved as quickly as possible but no later than 90 days,
To assist the Genpact team in any queries relating to fixed assets,
To assist all HESC buyers with the PO process – creating, receiving etc.,
PLPD insurance accruals for Europe –preparing monthly entries and assisting with any queries,
To prepare and submit on a quarterly/annual basis the CSO returns to the Central Statistics Office in order to facilitate the compilation of national accounts and statistical information,
Analysis/review of all P&L accounts as requested by management to support cost analysis, cost review and regular cost control tracking,
Ability to resolve and respond to accounting queries received from internal customers/senior management in an efficient and timely manner thus ensuring service expectations are maintained / exceeded,
Any other ad-hoc requests from Management,

What We’re Looking For:
Strong accounting skills – Preferably fully qualified accountant or at final stages of accounting qualification along with experience (ACCA, ACA),
Previous experience in Financial/Accounting environment essential,
Good working knowledge of excel essential,
Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate at all levels,
Excellent organisational skills – achieving deadlines is key in this area and this is a busy role,
Proactive, enthusiastic attitude to work and committed to continuous process improvement,
Fluency in English is mandatory.
