Description

　　Achievement-oriented Assistant Controllers looking to work with a well-respected company, should apply through Robert Half. The role of Assistant Controller will support the Corporate Controller in all aspects of operational accounting and financial reporting to include, but not limited to, daily financial reporting activities, maintain an internal control environment in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements as well as U.S. GAAP standards, period end closing processes, budgeting, and forecasting activities, analytics and reporting, site management support with ad-hoc reporting, capital requests, financial guidance to functional departments, as needed. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Milpitas, California area.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

　　Represent the business unit within the corporate environment, collaborating with colleagues in other divisions to review results, improve processes, and analyze trends.

　　Handle all core accounting functions assuring data integrity in local accounting system, as well as roll ups into corporate reporting systems.

　　Prepare, compile, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

　　Manage a small team and as needed, shared service center resources, to conduct day-to-day operational activities.

　　Manage budgets, forecasts, and capex tracking.

　　Develop or leverage analytical tools and reports to review results, key performance indicators and applicable margins to support continuous improvements & opportunities.

　　Establish and review all site overhead allocation rates for appropriateness, as well as for establishing accurate fixed and variable cost models for pricing.

　　Support site management in preparation of capital expenditures requests, new business, pricing, or any other requests that are required.

　　Maintain an internal control environment in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and US GAAP.

　　Supports internal and external auditors by communicating with auditors; being the point of contact for auditors; ensuring appropriate documents are completed; and escalating issues as appropriate.

　　Education

　　Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related field or 5+ years of applicable experience, or combination of education and relevant work experienceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

　　Experienced knowledge of accounting policies, SOX compliance, and GAAP accounting.

　　Strong knowledge of accounting software, Macola a plus.

　　Experience working in a public company strongly preferred.

　　Experience in Manufacturing company preferred.

　　Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

　　Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with management, employees, vendors, and clients.

　　Detail oriented, highly organized, values driven.

　　Minimum 2 years supervisory experience, coaching and mentoring others is required.
