Assistant Civil Engineer - Transportation

　　We are seeking assistant civil engineers who will work on New York City infrastructure design projects at our office in Lower Manhattan. NV5's New York City Office operates on a four-day work week and we work on a wide variety of public and private infrastructure projects.

　　ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Transportation Engineer will engage in research, investigation, and design tasks related to roadway and infrastructure design projects for New York City or State agencies. This may include:

　　Highway and roadway design and alignment.

　　Grading, drainage, pavement markings and signage.Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Construction Staging.Studies, development of technical drawings, preparation of estimates of quantities and writing specifications.Field work for data gathering, surveys and construction observations.Design of Flood Protection infrastructure.

　　QualificationsA Baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited collegeKnowledge of CAD (AutoCAD especially)Knowledge of Civil3D, (a plus)Detailed oriented, excellent writing skillsCertifications/Licenses:

　　EIT Preferred#LI-JC2

　　The pay range for this position in New York City is $62,000.00- $70,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
