Boeing International Corporation - Poland currently has a need for a Supplier Quality Specialist to join its newly created Readiness Team (Supplier Readiness)
This position is a full time permanent contract.
The role will to ensure that all Initial Product and Production System Validation (IPPSV) activities are completed as planned. The role reports to the BCA Supplier Quality Regional Operations Readiness Senior Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
Support Regional SQR to ensure Quality Management System (QMS) compliance with Boeing requirements.
Plans and conducts Boeing review of First Article Inspection (BFAI).
Plans and conducts prevention uch as Requirement Consumption Review (RCR), , etc.
Monitor and ensures closure of Action Items, Opportunities for Improvement and Suppliers’ commitments from preventive activities.
Ensures has proper processes in place to assess and mitigate/eliminate quality risks associated with Work
Recommends Supplier Surveillance and Oversight activities to SQRs as follow up to prevention activities
Reports status of Preventive activities to Preventive Sr. Manager and Regional leadership team.
Be pro-actively engaged with current and new suppliers to ensure First Time Quality (FTQ).
Support of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
Documents and reports audit and assessment results in coordination with Regional SQR for any assessments performed
Ensures supplier notifications of quality escapes are processed as required; evaluates supplier Root Cause Analysis and proposed corrective action plans (RCCA) Where these affect part numbers subject to IPPSV control.
Provides supplier education and coaching on APQP, technical expertise, company initiatives to develop and improve supplier performance and productivity.
Monitors quality improvement initiatives at supplier; develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity.
Basic Qualifications ( Required Skills/Experience ):
5+ years' experience in Quality and or Manufacturing Engineering related to reading, review and interpretation of engineering drawings, specification and technical data, creation and maintenance of build plans, work instructions, inspection and test plans.
5+ years' experience in audit and quality assessments.
5+ years' experience in working comprehension of the requirements of AS9100.
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
Strong supplier quality development background.
Strong understanding of root cause and corrective action analysis and implementation of acceptable preventative action.
Knowledge of supplier quality system requirements, along with extensive process auditing experience.
Fluent in English in spoken and written.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 75% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Working knowledge of various quality tools and processes such as APQP, FMEA, control plans, SPC, FAI, RCCA.
Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 and AS9145.
Lean or lean six sigma experience (leading or co-leading teams with value stream mapping and shop floor standard work events).
Demonstrated knowledge of project management best practices and processes.
Experience developing supplier improvement plans and strategies, providing training, and coaching.
Fluent in Polish in spoken and written.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through Bachelor’s degree and typically a minimum of 5 years or more related work experience, or a Master’s degree and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
This assignment is in Warsaw, Poland. While this is a virtual opportunity (the selected candidate will not typically work on-site at a Boeing facility), the position will require frequent travel, including possible extended stays at locations mainly in Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA) but further afield if the need arises, and as such easy access to transportation network (highways, airports, trains stations).
