　　The 2019 Executive Order on Maintaining American Leadership in Artificial Intelligence (AI) emphasized that achieving and maintaining global leadership in AI is an urgent national security imperative. As rapid advancements in AI technologies such as machine learning, reinforcement learning, speech recognition, natural language processing, computer vision, and autonomous systems continue to push the state-of-the-art, the Intelligence Community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DoD) must keep pace. Research is at the forefront of this effort, championing AI research in both foundational science and applied solutions.

　　This effort is to support the advancement of the state-of-the-art in AI technologies through research, development, deployment, and maintenance of cutting-edge solutions. At a minimum, this effort will encompass:

　　Exploring and evaluating pioneering AI approaches.

　　Designing, testing, evaluating, and fielding new AI-driven systems and analytics.

　　Developing and implementing strategies that enable the creation of AI systems that maximize accuracy, functionality, and performance.

　　Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

　　Developing and executing cutting-edge research programs to create and then experimentally prove innovative and effective solutions to complex AI technical problems.

　　Directing a team of engineers and/or scientists to implement solutions to complex AI technical problems.

　　Leading, mentoring, and enabling science and technology SMEs of all levels to develop greater expertise in solving complex AI problems.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　15 years of related experience.

　　PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited college or university.

　　Security Clearance Requirements:

　　Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.Physical Requirements:

　　Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

　　Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

　　The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

　　For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license. The applicant will be required to answer certain questions for export control purposes, and that information will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law.
