Art Director, Pack Design - COVERGIRL

　　In this role you will be responsible for:

　　Responsible for the conception, development and execution of packaging designon Covergirl, reporting to the Senior Art Director

　　Working in collaboration with the Brand Team to transform Creative Briefs to create innovativepackaging concepts that are executable within industrial, cost and time constraints

　　Understand the power of packaging in-store and online to attract the consumer andembody brand equity

　　Aesthetic review of all components, color drawdowns, BATs, proofs Manage external comp houses and prototype studiosDesign Turnovers (DTOs) of package designs to cross-functional teamsFoster idea sharing, art direction and conceptingActively participate in operational and creative meetings Domestic travel to suppliers for component, masterbatch and deco approvalReview and approve all primary, secondary and label declinations in artwork e-routing system Maintain all physical color and component history Create and maintain packaging style-guides

　　Bachelor's degree with a focus in Graphic Design and/or Packaging Design15 yrs beauty pack design experience2D Design expertise, 3D Product Design knowledge is a plusProficient in Adobe CC (Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop), 3D rendering software (CAD, iC3D, Adobe Dimension) is a plusPassionate in CPG product design and graphic design; always seeking to grow and learnExcellent knowledge of mass color/cosmetics packagingHighly motivated and self-starter, passionate and collaborative team player Sense of accountability, deliver on promises and take responsibility for actionsOrganizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives under tight timelinesStrong written and verbal skills to communicate ideas to both creatives and non-creativesStrong print-production knowledge (dielines, bleed, color modes, live area, etc)Thrives in a team environment, contribute ideas and interact with cross-functional partners (Marketing, PCD, Production, Artwork Management)Manages well in a high-volume, fast-paced, open floor-plan environmentPositive energy and a curious nature
