Armed Security Officer - Full Time

Location: Brighton, CO

Rate: $25.00/HR

Prior experience in armed security, military, or law enforcement preferred.

At a minimum, must be able to speak to gun safety and responsibilities as well as successfully complete assessments and shooting qualification. Training and gear provided.

Available Schedules:

Monday-Friday 7am-6pm

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Monday-Friday 7am-6pm / 2pm-10pm

Securitas Security is looking for Armed Security professionals to join our team in providing overall safety and security services to our clients. Our armed program includes advanced firearms training, personal defense strategies, de-escalation, and use of force. We issue all necessary equipment to include company issued firearm and ammunition. We are looking for individuals who have prior law enforcement, military and or armed experience to join our team!

Job Duties:

Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.

Responding to emergency situations where rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation and use of force is required.

Working directly with law enforcement, government staffing and the community.

Writing detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues.

Security screening all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities.

Monitoring surveillance cameras.

Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.

Position Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for an armed position

Must have Armed Security experience

Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification

Must have a reliable personal vehicle

Must have the legal right to work in the United States

Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English

Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular)

High School Diploma or GED Required

Standard computer / technology skills needed - The ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone

Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic

Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal / written communication

Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus

Customer service background preferred

Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner

Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift

Must have great attention to detail

Must be comfortable conducting access control duties

All candidates must be able to pass a drug test and background check
