Specialist, Quality Assurance Engineering

What does a successful Specialist, Quality Assurance Engineering do?

As a Lead, Quality Assurance, you will perform functional testing activities that include engaging in design sessions, creating test deliverables, performing test execution and logging defects. You will also report the testing statuses and escalate issues to test management. You be responsible to lead, develop, monitor, and execute test activities for differently sized projects. This position will be part of the project team of developers, business analysts and quality analysts working under the leadership of a project manager and technical lead.

What you will do:

Develop clear and concise test scripts based on requirements.

Develop clear and concise test scripts for regression test needs.

Define and obtain test data in support of test scripts.

Document and communicate defects to the team and stakeholders.

Support creation of the Test Plan artifact

Properly maintain the Test Requirements hierarchy within the test management tool

Ensure the data is accurate to support quality test metric data reporting.

Participate in design meetings to understand the requirements and objectives of an assigned projects.

Work with Business Analysts, Dev team members, Documentation developers, and SCM experts to deliver high-quality software to customers.

What you will need to have:

Candidate must have 6-9 years of experience in testing Mainframe applications with JCL, COBOL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.

Experience using File Manager, Fault Analyzer, scheduler and Endevor,

Experience on Web Services and applications.

Good understanding of Payments and Banking domain and have worked on applications processing sensitive financial data.

Candidate is required to have good technical analysis skills.

Proficiency with agile practices and product delivery.

Bachelors degree or relevant work experience.

Excellent communication skills.

What would be great to have:

Experience in banking and financial service and payments domain.

Strong test planning and acceptance testing experience.

Exposure to automation and CI/CD.
