The Area Vice President of Clinical Operations - Behavioral is the leader for the clinical operations of multiple services lines for all offices in the respective area. The Area VP of Clinical Operations- Behavioral partners with appropriate business partners to effectively manage a respective area. Responsibilities include collaboration with area offices to develop superior clinical services, outcomes and best practices, Key Quality Indicators (KQIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
The Area VP of Clinical Operations- Behavioral evaluates aggregate analytical data from KQIs, self-audits, credentialing bodies, incident report management, etc., to improve clinical delivery across the organization
including offices within the respective area.
The Area VP of Clinical Operations- Behavioral has a broad knowledge of area business opportunities, Maxim business lines, and healthcare delivery systems essential for business development and collaborates with area teams to create an annual budget. The Area VP of Clinical Operations- Behavioral is accountable to federal, state, local programs and contracts, accrediting bodies, Maxim requirements and where applicable or required by state regulations may be the Administrator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees the quality of clinical and business outcomes
Directly supervises lead clinicians in their respective offices
Co-leads and collaborates on area initiatives with the area operations partner
Oversees clinical operations for multiple behavioral service lines and offices
Monitors clinical quality trends to drive standards of excellence, educating and guiding other clinical leaders to be effective, evidence based practice changes
Develops, implements, and collaborates on area and regional initiatives across the company
Analyzes issues and trends by following the Root Cause Analysis process and develops effective solutions
Facilitates and implements training on new policies and processes, and monitors its effectiveness
Evaluates processes to enhance effectiveness through innovation management
Provides leadership and professional development opportunities in the respective geographic area
Remains current with and is accountable to industry regulations including federal, state, local programs and contracts, accrediting bodies and Maxim requirements
May serve on headquarters’ cross functional teams as a subject matter expert
Acts as the Administrator of the agency, if required
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Active Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis by Behavior Analyst Certification Board
Active License in Applied Behavior Analysis as required for each state in the respective geographic area.
Master’s degree required
A minimum of ten years of experience in field of applied behavior analysis
A minimum of five years of progressive ABA supervisory experience
Must meet all federal, state, local and contract program requirements, in addition to internal certifications and training
Demonstrated skills in leadership, employee development, and business acumen
Broad knowledge of ABA healthcare delivery systems
Knowledge of BACB task list, ethical, reporting, and supervisory requirements and Ability to travel fifty percent of the time
Experience in quality management, budget management, and progressive multi-office or multi- program management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated skills working independently and managing remotely
Ability to engage teams and lead organizational changes
Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office
