As anArchitect I/IIatCSHQA, you will collaborate withPrincipal/Senior Architects and Project Managers to develop appropriatedesign solutions, work to assist clients through the planning andcreation of fiscally responsible, award-winning designs. You will managemultiple architectural projects from the conception stage throughconstruction and completion; ensuring teams meet quality, schedule,contractual and budget goals, while leading and mentoring others throughcollaboration.
You should possess strong knowledge of design, trends, and constructionadministration. You have proven experience supervising and leading ateam of Designers, Architects and Architects-in-Training, Engineeringdisciplines and Consultants. This position requires knowledge ofarchitectural projects concerning unique and varied complexities thatsignificantly impactCSHQA.Well-developed project management, clientmanagement and/or marketing abilities will be key to your success. Inaddition, you will use your partnering and relationship-building skillsto establish new and manage existing client relations; coordinatingcommunication among all parties involved to maintain a project workloadfor business continuity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead design discussions and development of drawings, modeling and 3Drenderings based upon those discussions, ensuring the design intentof the project is incorporated into the detailed documentation.Guide specification set-up and drawing coordination, research andappropriate use of CSHQAstandards.Develop, check and coordinate technical aspects of the design of aproject or multiple projectsassuming responsibility for finishedplans, specifications and QA/QC.May participate in business development meetings with team leadersto target specified project, client or market opportunities.Coordinate the work of less experienced architects andarchitects-in-training.Deliver design sensitive projects on schedule and within budgetwhile making authoritative decisions and recommendations ofsignificant impact related to the project.Develop and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, QA/QC reviewsand client expectations ensuring that cost, customer service,quality, schedule and safety are incorporated into the design fromcommencement through completion.Communicate and coordinate with other architects, owners,engineering disciplines, vendors, consultants, governmentalagencies, etc. throughout the design phase of the building project.Manage the preparation of construction documents and directconstruction administration of architectural projects.Evaluate and select architectural and engineering consultants.CSHQAis an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and considers allqualified applicants regardless of their race, color, religion, sex,sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, pregnancy,genetic information, retaliation for protected activity, protectedveteran or disabled status, or any other status protected by applicablefederal, state and local laws.
