Apprentice Quality TechniciansPenn United Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Apprentice Quality Technicians to provide full on-site quality assurance services in our Stamping Department. In this role, you would perform part inspection and documentation in order to achieve 100% quality production, continually improve manufacturing processes, and assure customer satisfaction. This is a 3 year in-house certificate program.Duties and Responsibilities of the Apprentice Quality Technician:Primary work function will be inspection of parts to ensure parts are made to print specifications.Use manual measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators as well as automated inspection equipment.Work with manufacturing technicians to achieve acceptable product and meet or exceed customer quality standards.Audit manufacturing processes and inspection logs.Data entry & filing of quality documents and records.Create and maintain inspection documents.Perform required services for internal teams and external customers as needed.Perform housekeeping of inspection equipment and area.Able to work rotating shifts including daylight, afternoon and midnight shiftsQualifications for the Apprentice Quality Technician:Blueprint reading and measurement tool experience (such as calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, etc...) is strongly preferred.Experience with Smart Scopes and Quest machines preferred, not required.Good math abilityMust have an understanding of computer skills in Windows platformTeam player, service attitude, attention to detail, accurate, and self-motivatedFlexible to work shifts.Visual acuity (20/20 vision or corrective lenses).Committed to team development, and product and service excellenceMust be able to work rotating shifts of day, afternoon and midnightBenefits for the Manufacturing Apprentice Quality Technician: Penn United Technologies currently employs over 700 people in our employee-owned precision manufacturing company, located about 35 miles northeast of Pittsburgh in Butler County.
