Hone your skills as an Apprentice Instrument Technician I, with opportunity to craft instruments of the highest quality by following verbal and written procedures, and blueprints.

　　Responsibilities:

　　File, bend, braze, stamp, grind, and polish to create handheld surgical instruments.

　　Some work requires the use of a microscope.

　　Learn and apply new techniques and skills to the manufacturing of the surgical instruments within standard times.

　　Complete each level in the 5-year apprenticeship program.

　　Qualifications:

　　High School Diploma or equivalent.

　　Hand metal working experience.

　　Ability to visualize shapes.

　　Assessment will be required.

　　Ability to follow verbal and written manufacturing procedures.

　　Previous experience preferred from other shops that provide surgical instruments.

　　Previous experience as a watch maker, gunsmith, or jeweler preferable, but not required.

　　Any previous experience using hand tools such as pliers, hammers, or files.

　　Excellent manual dexterity.

　　Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level, and # years’ experience. Assessment will be conducted during interview.

　　Apprentice I: Starting from $15.18/hour; up to $16.83/hour

　　Apprentice II: up to $17.50/hour

　　Apprentice III: up to $19.50/hour

　　Apprentice IV: up to $22.00/hour
