　　Responsible for coordinating and executing activities around thefollowing: standardization of manufacturing processes, manufacturingprocess improvement initiatives, rationalization of new equipment,implementation of new equipment, research and development of newmanufacturing processes and technologies that will increase speed,improve quality, and reduce cost.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities

　　Process Standardization

　　Standardize the sequence of machine operations, fixturing methods,programming techniques, cutting tools, machine speeds, feed rates, depthof cuts, tool holders, and preferred methods to machine differentmaterials.

　　Standardize tooling/fixtures in order to minimize or eliminate changeover time. Goals of Single Minute Exchange of Dies or less (SMED).

　　Develop and implement standards, work instructions, procedures andpolicies for manufacturing in the engineering and manufacturingdepartments.

　　Develop Technical Publications that provide documentation, detailedinstructions, drawings, specifications, and training to tell othersabout how processes, equipment, or parts are to be fabricated,assembled, maintained, or used.

　　Recommends and implements process changes in order to improve cost,delivery, quality.

　　Utilize and enhance Perfekta preferred manufacturing methods andenforces current standards.

　　Collaborate on development and enforcement of preventative maintenanceprograms.

　　Continuous Improvement

　　Direct, review, and approve product manufacturing strategies andchanges.

　　Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructivesuggestions for change.

　　Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution andsolve problems.

　　Modify or direct the modification of existing programs to enhanceefficiency.

　　Troubleshoot and determine causes of operating errors and decide what todo about it.

　　Project Management

　　Manage new equipment and process improvement projects to ensure thatproject complete on time, within budget and meet the goals andexpectations of the project. Lead project teams made up of team membersfrom other departments and disciplines.

　　Develop Project Schedules in MS Project and utilize stand projectmanagement tools to ensure expectations are communicated on a regularbasis and progress is tracked to schedule.

　　Develop Project budgets and manage activities and the decision processto ensure adherence to budgets.

　　Leadership and Communications

　　Report progress and projects weekly to Leadership Team.

　　Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.

　　Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive informationtactfully.

　　Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.

　　Motivate teams to work together in the most efficient manner.
