Run-to-Run Application (Development) Engineer
Description
The Automation Products Group in Applied Global Services seeks to hire a Run-to-Run (R2R) application development engineer for new R2R deployments. Responsibilities for this role include defining, designing, creating, testing, and deploying R2R controllers for Applied Materials’ customers. The R2R development engineer will work closely with the R2R solution architect and deployment manager to create turnkey solutions for our customers. There are additional responsibilities to be involved in presales activities and deployment activities. These responsibilities include the following:
Review, validate, and approve Scope of Work (SOW) definitions for new customers seeking R2R services
Review and respond to customers’ Request for Proposal (RFP)
Review and manage SOW change requests
Participate in the R2R deployment project management process
Participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of R2R controllers
Successful candidates will have advanced knowledge R2R control and will be able to create controllers within Applied Materials’ framework. Further, candidates will be proficient in working with customers within multiple levels of the organization, gathering customer requirements, and resolving customer concerns.
Preferred Knowledge and Experience
Operational knowledge of typical factory automation and control systems with strong working understanding of use cases driving need for these systems. Includes MES, Dispatching, Scheduling, SPC, FDC, AMHS, Equipment Integration, R2R control, general information technology and database technology.
Experience with software development business processes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing business
Direct experience using E3 R2R
Mandarin language skills not required but preferred
Qualifications and Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
2+ Years of direct experience creating R2R controllers in a factory setting
Preferred to have FDC and SPC implementation experience
Preferred to have C# or C++ programming skill with two years implementation experience
