Application Engineer III (The Vanguard Group / Malvern, PA) -- Analyze, Design, Code and Test custom Aurora PostgreSQL Database infrastructure used by multiple software teams across department; develop custom code pertaining to outside mutual fund data distribution to assist traders and end users in mutual fund selection; application deployment / configuring design and develop complex business solutions using Angular, Python, Java, J2EE, Spring framework, Spring Boot, AWS Cloud, Java Micro services, Dynamo DB and Postgres DB; maintain developed components/services using various AWS (Amazon Web Services) technologies, such as CloudFormation, ECS, Docker and Route 53; work in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment model using Bamboo or Jenkins build and deploy pipelines; research, provide proof of concept, and provide recommendations on emerging software across the enterprise; act as team's Software Security Champion in educating team on preventing and responding to potential security deficiencies; create/maintain proper documentation for all functional and technical changes separately. Requires Bachelor's or higher degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related IT field and five years of experience in job offered or in IT positions including Senior Software Developer. Background in education, training or experience must include Angular, Python, Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, RESTful Web Services, Java Micro Services, AWS Cloud, RDBMS (Oracle, Postgres), Junit, Maven, CI/CD pipeline, Splunk, Honeycomb.
