National Power is seeking for Application Engineer under the guidance of the Director of Sales, Power Generation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Foster reliable and strategic collaborations with electrical engineering and construction firms by conducting regular face-to-face meetings. Emphasize the value of our products, secure specifications, and garner support for mutual engagement.
Serve as a neutral subject matter expert, presenting expertise on company products and providing technical guidance to sales teams, project management, and external customers.
Leverage product expertise to advise on optimal product selection, support project management, and stay updated on competitive products.
Develop specifications highlighting the company's strategic strengths.
Align end-user value with the company’s offerings.
Actively participate in conferences and industry events to establish thought leadership.
Lead and present training programs, educational seminars, and events both virtually and in-person.
Explore obtaining additional professional designations to enhance industry expertise.
Foster collaborative relationships with the sales team to identify opportunities for strategic customer partnerships.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Discipline OR 5 years of Power Gen Industry experience.
Registered professional engineer (PE) is a plus.
5+ years of experience in sales engineering, applications engineering, or business development within the power generation, energy storage, or electrical equipment industries.
Proven success driving product specifications and growing customer acceptance of technical products.
Knowledge of the competitive landscape and differentiation strategies in power generation and energy storage.
Work Conditions:
Work from home/ Remote.
Local travel within the Carolinas region estimated at 75% of working time.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit for an extended time, up to 8 hours, and engage in frequent hand and finger dexterity (typing). Effective hearing and speaking skills, both over the phone and in person.
