Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR)is actively seeking aProject Leadto join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience in liaising with government clients, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex project landscapes with ease and efficiency. We value the unique skills and perspectives that our Project Leads bring to projects, and were excited to find the right fit for this key role.
The Project Lead's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
Facilitate and guide software development product owner, team, and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum concepts, values, practices, and principles focusing on improving team effectiveness.Encourage getting work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.Facilitate discussions, decision making, and assist in mediation of conflict resolution.Lead the team and guide them on how to get the most out of self-organization.Give support using a servant leadership style whenever possible, lead by example, and demonstrate value-add principles.Assess the Scrum maturity of the team and organization, coaching them to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgment, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.Respond to and remove or find others to remove any reported impediments that obstruct a development team's pursuit of its goals, such as do what is necessary to ensure down computers are back up quickly and keep the developers comfortable.Notice differences and issues as they arise and elevates them to management.Make tough calls, be a voice of reason and authority, and ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to.Work, collaborate, and communicate effectively both internally and externally, improving transparency and sharing information.Organize and facilitate meetings, including preparing, moderating, and post processing.Help with product release planning and enforce deadlines.Support and educate the product owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog and release plan.Improve personal skills, continually learning new tools and techniques to manage oneself as well as help improve the team.Requirements
Candidate must be a US Citizen
Candidate must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance (minimum)
Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree
Candidate must possess CISSP
Candidate must be a Certified Scrum Master
10 years' experience with the following:
Scrum MasterManaging teamsWorking within the Agile SDLCPreferred Requirements:
Agile SDLC Framework experience to include managing sprint planning, backlogs, creating user stories, and estimating user story pointsExperience leading and managing a dispersed, remote technical teamExperience with US Air Force IT ProjectsExperience in software development via Java and/or JavaScriptExperience with differing Agile frameworks to include Scrum Agile, SAFe Agile, etc.Experience with Agile management tools (e.g., Atlassian Jira, Confluence, etc.)About Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR):
