Description
Develop and implement Business Intelligence (BI) solutions composed of multi-functional projects. Collaborate with other Information Management experts and peers to support functional leaders through project completion and organization improved capability to expected maturity. Facilitate data and environment governance processes for the assigned domain. Manage the completion of audits and address findings in a timely manner. Monitor the intake process for assigned domain to reduce rework and promote reuse. Approve cleansed data to ensure accuracy and reduce redundancy. Lead analytics to create reports and dashboards using business intelligence technology. Oversee development of the descriptive and diagnostic analytics for their respective teams. Maintain documentation of key decisions, rules, controls, processes and training. Lead project work to ingest key data for assigned domain into the data lake. Leverage knowledge of simulation and modeling software to help functional teams find the needed data. Participate in monthly peer group collaboration meeting to promote the use of the BI ecosystem. Develop the capability of BI Ecosystem users in the assigned domain. Oversee definition of each business problem, root cause, solution options, and opportunities through illustrating data visually, including reports and dashboards. Maintain a working theory of engine as part of understanding engineering processes and knowledge of engineering failure modes. Discover, interpret and communicate qualitative and quantitative data, determine conclusions relying on knowledge of business or functional frameworks, and simultaneously apply statistics, data validity, data visualization, and problem-solving approaches to effectively extract meaningful patterns and business insights. Use qualitative methods to generate rich, descriptive understanding of investigated phenomenon. Apply engineering knowledge such as failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), root cause analysis (RCA), process improvement methodologies like Six Sigma and Lean and optimization theory in concert with qualitative and quantitative data to create an engineering business case for leadership approval. Oversee presentation of conclusions and outcomes that enable data driven business decisions. Identify, understand, and correct flaws in data that support effective information governance across operational business process and decision making to ensure Data Quality. Create, write, and test data models, test scripts and build scripts using engineering industry standards and tools, version control and build and test automation to meet business, technical, security, engineering, and compliance requirements. Operates effectively despite ambiguity, managing teams and balancing stakeholders even when the way forward is not clear.

Experience and Education:
Positions require a Master’s degree in Data, Mechanical or Energy Engineering, Data or Computer Science, Analytics, or related field and 2 years of experience as a Data, Solution, or Quality Analyst, Product Engineer, or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Data, Mechanical or Energy Engineering, Data or Computer Science, Analytics, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Data, Solution, or Quality Analyst, Product Engineer, or related position. Experience to include: Data governance processes; Business intelligence technology; Descriptive and diagnostic analytics; Simulation and modeling software; Engineering processes and failure modes; Interpret qualitative and quantitative data; Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA); Six Sigma Methodologies; Ensure Data Quality. Create data models, test scripts, and build scripts.
