Position: Menu Management Specialist
Type: W2, 12-month contract
Location: Remote (Eastern Standard Hours)
Pay: Up to $45/hour
Job Description
Responsible for menu management of 30+ full serve (FSR) and quick serve restaurant (QSR) concepts on the Aloha point of sale.
Technical Expertise
Aloha Configuration Center (CFC):
Knowledge in both Table Service and Quick Service
Ability to work on Global, Corporate, and site-specific levels
Tasks include adding/removing items, editing modifier items/groups, working in menus and submenus, creating/editing QS Panels, managing price changes, versioning for site-specific or multiple site changes, creating/editing quick combo promotions, working with panels in the TS environment, managing hierarchies, categories, tenders, comps, promos, creating new stores, and item routing for printers.
Aloha Kitchen (AK):
Add/Edit rulebooks, item routing, and new devices
Preferred knowledge in changing prices in Symphony and OLO menu maintenance
Document all menu changes
Understanding of CFC dbf files
Attention to detail for data integrity and accurate documentation
Effective communication skills for supporting operation teams for both FSR and QSR
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise to design, maintain, and support TARG POS database requests for up to 30 concepts across all company-managed POS systems.
Design and maintain user interface elements for intuitive and efficient operation.
Respond to POS database change requests within designated service level agreements (SLA).
Complete add, delete, and change requests for Aloha POS and Aloha Online Ordering systems.
Coordinate POS change requests with 3rd party changes (e.g., digital menu boards).
Ensure ancillary hardware is programmed correctly per restaurant’s operating schema.
Coordinate multiple menu price tiers and implement price changes as directed by operations within SLA.
Process change requests for online ordering platforms for new items.
Create house accounts and tenders to support third-party delivery partners.
Test POS changes in company POS hardware labs before deploying to production.
Enter data from source documents into specific data fields.
Track promotion programming and maintain records of changes.
Complete programming discount requests in Aloha POS systems.
Coordinate changes with the back office system team for data integrity.
Complete franchisee service requests for POS changes per agreed SLAs.
Maintain tax tables in POS and update as directed.
Create training documents for new user interface procedures.
Review and provide recommendations for new implementations (Acquisitions and Construction Projects).
Mentor new employees and provide training as directed by the Supervisor.
Provide after-hours/weekend support as needed.
Liaise with Technical Support Team and 3rd party vendors for solutions and implementation specifics.
Minimize financial and product loss by ensuring proper functionality of POS systems.
