Job Description Summary

　　At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

　　We are seeking an intern to work as part of our Transformation team supporting Airfoils Centre of Excellence (CoE).

　　In this role the intern will have the opportunity to learn about lean manufacturing practices, flow and layout optimization using lean tools (such as Gemba walks, Kaizen event, structured problem solving, standard work etc.) and measure improvement actions and KPI.

　　Essential Responsibilities

　　Define / analyze value stream map of critical programs (Lead time, Inventory, Cost, Takt Time)Implement pull strategy for WIP and Raw materials (Kanban, twin bin, visual management)Sustain the implementation of Pull Dashboard in the shopfloorImprovement projects focal point in the Operating Rhythm (CCC, PCC)Analyze / Optimize consumables stock at point of useOptimize the internal logistics of materials using Lean toolsDevelop and consolidate best practices and standards workSupport the implementation of 5S Methodology in the shopfloorUse of office + SAP package

　　Qualification/Requirements

　　Master's Degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace, Mechanical, Energy, Material or Management Engineering from an accredited University;English and Italian fluency, written and verbal;PC Proficiency (Excel, Power Point);Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions;Ability to manage activities simultaneously;EU Work Permit.

　　Desired Characteristics

　　Curious and eager to learn;Strong oral and written communication skills;Strong interpersonal and leadership skills;Analytical and problem solving skills;Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodology;Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing is considered a plus.
