About This Role:
The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is seeking anAgricultural Technician II Research to assist with seed production forthe Foundation Seed Program at the Agronomy North Farm. Primaryresponsibilities include organizing and performing activities related tothe production of foundation class certified seed of various species ofcrops, and working on and with specialized equipment, trucks, augers,structures, etc. This individual will work closely with Agronomy Farmand Western Kansas Agricultural Research Center personnel to accomplishobjectives

What You\'ll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma and one year of relevant experienceExperience in operating farm equipment including grain trucks,trailers, augers, tractors, and other.Must have skills pertaining to mechanical, electrical, basicwoodworking, and basic welding projects and repairsA Kansas Commercial Pesticide license (Class 1A, 4, and 7B) or theability to obtain one within 6 months and a Kansas CommercialDriver\'s License (CDL) class A or the ability to obtain one within6 monthsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in the operation of seed conditioning, treating, baggingequipment, and general seed production knowledgeExperience with general farming activities such as planting,spraying, and harvestingComputer skills including experience in Microsoft Word and Excel,and QuickBooks or the ability to learnOther Requirements:
